Summary

The COOL Kid’s Pastor will provide leadership to the various volunteers and ministry teams within the following age groups: Birth to 6th Grade. He/she will carry out the church's mission and vision, being strategically minded, administratively skilled, and intentional with recruiting and development of teams within the scope of the next generation of Jesus followers. The COOL Kid’s will also possess a pastoral heart, be full of energy, and continually finding ways to impact our children and their families for Jesus.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or source the curriculum that creates strong spiritual foundations for all children that are apart of COOL Church
  • Train, develop, and pastor volunteer teams to lead and build strong disciples of Christ 
  • Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families
  • Design strategic opportunities to help every parent stay connected
  • Provide resources and experiences that help parents win with their own kids
  • Leverage digital strategies to keep parents inspired and informed
  • Create a safe, clean, positive, nurturing, and age-appropriate learning environment for every child.
  • Responsible for check-in procedures and tracking weekly attendance.
  • Manage the process for volunteer background checks and Child-Abuse prevention training. 
  • Meets weekly with Senior Pastor to discuss ministry strategies and effectiveness.
  •   Provide vision and oversight for all things pertaining to the Children’s Ministry at COOL Church (including but not limited to Special Events, Special Sundays or Churchwide Events)
  • Ensure the confidentiality within staff of personal information of volunteers, children, and their    
  • Schedule, plan and carry out Children’s outreach programs
  • Serve as a resource and liaison for parents.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities assigned by church leadership

Job Attributes

  • Ideal candidate would have experience leading for at least 3 years in Kids Ministry
  • Ideal candidate would have multisite church experience.
  • Ideal candidate would have experience leading 3 or more paid staff.
