Job Title: Painter

Status: Full Time

Schedule: Day shift

Salary Range: $23-27/hour based on experience

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?

  • Create a list to manage and track all paint colors and locations on campus.
  • Order paint and supplies to maintain necessary inventory.
  • Keep an updated list of paint inventory.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and complete painting and wall repair work orders and projects. Work orders may include preparing the surface for paint or stain, such as, drywall repair, painting both interior and exterior finishes, wallpaper repair, etc.
  • Work with PC and SN for turnovers of resident rooms. This includes room inspections as well as room preparations for admission.
  • Requests and work with contracted services and other department personnel as required.
  • Assist in keeping paint and wall repair project schedules up to date.
  • Assist in contractor communications including scheduling and pricing.
  • Communicate with residents on entry info, estimates, and other items as needed.
  • Attend in-service training programs for Facility Services employees.
  • Observe infection control procedures related to the Facility Services department.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining SDS information for job specific supplies.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Follows Residents' Rights policies at all times.
  • Complies with established policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct.

  • Verbal and written communication skills including telephone, computer, email, and radio transmissions.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities, while communicating updates as work progresses.
