Join Our Team as a Behavioral Health Technician
High Focus Centers in Pottstown is a leading provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. We are proud of our highly trained staff who develop individualized, comprehensive, and robust treatment plans tailored to meet each client’s goals. We are currently seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team of behavioral healthcare professionals.
Position: Behavioral Health Technician
Location: Pottstown
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Compensation: $17-$18 per hour
Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, listen, and observe clients to provide necessary support
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients, including crisis intervention
- Implement treatment plan objectives and communicate effectively with staff
- Participate in mandatory training sessions
- Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients, providing feedback to the clinical team
- Assist with client interventions and transport clients to and from programming
- Orient new clients to the program and milieu
- Perform clerical duties as needed and ensure kitchen supplies are stocked
- Engage with clients during leisure time and meals
- Ensure continuous staff presence and maintain positive client relationships
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health preferred
- Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health services, including facilitating process groups and family sessions
