The Buyer Analyst's Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Execute day-to-day purchasing tasks, including order placement, supplier negotiations, and inventory management.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to meet organizational needs.
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Lead initiatives to implement changes aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall procurement processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Business Intelligence reports to provide insights into materials trends, vendor and manufacturing performance, and other key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with management to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze procurement data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Maintain and update master data related to suppliers, materials, and pricing.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of master data, supporting overall data integrity within procurement systems.
  • Analyze supplier contracts and terms to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Implement strategies to achieve cost reductions without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Thoroughly review supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounts payable teams to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing.
  • All duties as assigned.

The Buyer Analyst will need:

Required -

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SQL.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred -

  • 3+ years of experience in a buyer or business analyst role.
  • Experience using procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Related experience within the manufacturing industry.
