Our client is seeking an Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to join a great team This Lead Azure DevOps Engineer who can manage senior-level responsibilities and demonstrate essential team player qualities will be successful in this role.


Job Summary


  • Design, deploy, and maintain Azure-based solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Build, enhance, and support code deployment pipelines through Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and implement Azure architecture and infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and security.
  • Build, enhance, and support infrastructure as code templates.
  • Monitor Azure environment and perform necessary maintenance, upgrades, and optimizations.
  • Participate in daily status meetings and design meetings.
  • Develop and implement standards and best practices, including cyber controls.
  • Identify technical issues with infrastructure, software, or data and communicate them effectively to the development team and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal application performance in Azure.
  • Automate scaling of Azure resources.
  • Produce detailed and timely incident reports and root cause analysis documents.
  • Create and maintain Azure Dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain Azure governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with Azure technologies and industry trends to recommend best practices and identify areas for improvement.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, including proficiency in: .NET/C#, SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, API development
  • Proven track record of handling senior responsibilities and demonstrating basic lead engineer qualities.
  • 5+ years of experience with Azure and Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD pipeline, IaC.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing and infrastructure technologies, including networking, storage, and security.
  • Experience designing and implementing Azure infrastructure and solutions, including Azure Resource Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code practices and implementation, including use of tools such as Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Azure platform, particularly App Services, Azure SQL, Virtual Machines, networking, firewalls, Key Vault, and App Insights.
  • Experience automating deployments using Azure DevOps Pipelines and Releases, including usage of YAML.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with .NET development teams and projects (does not require deep C# programming experience).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
  • Desire to expand cyber and privacy knowledge.
  • Curiosity to integrate across DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
