Our client in Missoula, Montana is in need of a locum cardiothoracic nurse practitioner or physician assistant with first assisting experience to provide coverage from Mid August/Early September till December 16, 2024. Provider will be assisting on a team of four cardiothoracic surgery PA's. Scheduled hours & Call Coverage. Details below


  • Position: Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Position Type: Contract, 1099, Full Time
  • Contract Dates: August/September - December 16, 2024
  • Pay: $135/hour
  • Schedule: 4/10 hr shifts per week, potential for call, 1 in 4. Call would be 5pm-7am if necessary; weekend rounds/discharges so not always 10 hr shifts and emergent surgeries
  • Practice Settings: Inpatient/ 100% Adult; 12 patients/day; 10% office/clinic & 90% hospital; 1-2 surgeries/day; 3 physicians in practice & 4 midlevels; Trauma level II; EMR is Epic
  • Coverage Details: assisting in OR; endo vein and endo radial a plus; floor assignment for discharge; assisting clinic staff with patient call in questions as needed; no clinic patients scheduled - only OR and hospital floor coverage
Requirements:
  • Montana Medical License Required
  • 2+ years experience as APP in cardiothoracic surgery
  • First Assisting experience required
  • Montana DEA required
  • Surgical Care & Suturing Required
