SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The Maintenance Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility to ensure machinery is optimal and plays a major role in operating a safe environment and ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work effectively in both a team and autonomous environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude (desired), and manufacturing processes and equipment repair.

Requirements:

YOUR ROLE:

  • Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner.
  • Perform the required routine maintenance and tasks to keep equipment safe, functional, and efficient by executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance actions.
  • Learn and demonstrate competency in maintaining and troubleshooting processes and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions breakdowns and equipment to progress through training programs.
  • Demonstrates proper use of equipment, observing all safety procedures and policies. This includes but is not limited to: All designated PPE, lockout/tagout, and other requirements of working on equipment.
  • Participate in all on-site training per the direction of management.
  • Assists in the basic testing/troubleshooting of facility systems, including but not limited to fire alarms, exit door alarms, and emergency and exit lighting.
  • Ground maintenance occasionally as required.
  • Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 50 pounds.
  • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.
