JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, productive, and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
  • Create, update, maintain preventative maintenance logs
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Wear the proper safety equipment
  • Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all state and federal regulations, Company policies and procedures
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred

Experience:

  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.

Other:

  • Extended or irregular hours may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION

  • Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

  • Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
