Daycare Cook

Looking for a daycare chef

Pay: $14/hr starting but may vary with experience

Hours: M-F 6:30am - 2:30pm

Job Responsibilies:

• Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented as a schedule is to be followed and simple math for food ratios for the different classrooms
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff. Distribute food to the classrooms following appropriate health and safety guidelines, and policies
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director that incorporates the USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed
• Must be okay with filling out end of day paperwork pertaining to the meals for each day

Job Requirements:

• Simple math (Required)
• Experience with preparing/cooking meals in large quantities (Preferred, but not required, you will be trained if hired)
• Knowledge of the USDA Food Program and willing to follow guidlines (Preferred, but not required. Must be willing to learn)
• Must be able to pass background check and fingerprinting through DHS (Required)
