Automation Engineer

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop PLC base code for production facilities
• Design local and global Ignition (Inductive Automation) projects
• Manage automation contractors working on new and existing facilities
• Integrating local automation with global SCADA network
• Troubleshoot existing facility operations
• Manage team of in-house automation personnel
• R&D work related to adding new devices and functionality to automation systems
• Approve invoices and track costs for projects

Education, Training and Experience:

Required:

• Programming/Coding (ladder logic, structured text, Python, Java)
• Microsoft Office
• Hands on work ethic
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Organized and self sufficient

• ABB Totalflow PCCU/WinCCU software
• Inductive Automation Ignition designer
• Linux Ubuntu
• Basic networking configuration (port forwarding, LAN/WAN, traffic steering)
