Regulatory and QA Specialist

Our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of flavors and essential oils. It is located in northern NJ. We have been working with this company for a number of years and our candidates like working there. The senior management team treats its employees like family.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regulatory documentation for flavors and essential oil products - SDS, Allergen statement, Natural status, GMO, Prop 65, flavor product Ingredient listing, etc.
• Assist R&D/customers to determine necessary modifications to meet project needs and regulation, answer questionnaires.
• Collaborate with QC to complete daily inspection of finished products.
• Request, organize and review regulatory documentation from suppliers for new raw material approval.
• Assist in Organic, Kosher, Halal, SQF audit.
• Participate in internal audits for SQF programs.
• Conduct GMP inspections in production areas.
• Assist in solving production/ quality issues and out-of-conformance material issues.
• Other tasks if needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Regulatory/QA experience in food industry and/or flavor industry.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, or equivalent.
• CPG Alcohol beverage experience preferred.
• HACCP certification/ PCQI certification preferred.
• Knowledge on FSMA regulations and GFSI.
• Excellent writing and communications skills.
• Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment when necessary.
