Regulatory and QA Specialist
Our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of flavors and essential oils. It is located in northern NJ. We have been working with this company for a number of years and our candidates like working there. The senior management team treats its employees like family.
Responsibilities
- Prepare regulatory documentation for flavors and essential oil products - SDS, Allergen statement, Natural status, GMO, Prop 65, flavor product Ingredient listing, etc.
- Assist R&D/customers to determine necessary modifications to meet project needs and regulation, answer questionnaires.
- Collaborate with QC to complete daily inspection of finished products.
- Request, organize and review regulatory documentation from suppliers for new raw material approval.
- Assist in Organic, Kosher, Halal, SQF audit.
- Participate in internal audits for SQF programs.
- Conduct GMP inspections in production areas.
- Assist in solving production/ quality issues and out-of-conformance material issues.
- Other tasks if needed.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of Regulatory/QA experience in food industry and/or flavor industry.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, or equivalent.
- CPG Alcohol beverage experience preferred.
- HACCP certification/ PCQI certification preferred.
- Knowledge on FSMA regulations and GFSI.
- Excellent writing and communications skills.
- Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment when necessary.
