Our positions can be temporary, temporary to permanent or permanent positions depending on a particular customer’s need.Location: Waco, TX Category/Industry: ManufacturingJob Title: CNC Machinist Job Type: Full-timePay/Salary: $15.00-$23.00 per hour DOEHours of Work: 1st shift M-Th 10 hour days, some overtime required DESCRIPTIONCNC Machinist programs, sets up, and operates machines to fabricate high tolerance components from several types of materials. The Machinist uses shop safety practices, blueprints, measuring instruments, and offline/online programming interfaces.. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Safely operate Machines, hand tools, and accurately read measuring tools in compliance with all company safety rules and practices
  • Read and Follow blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and machine setup/programming requirements.
  • Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials, and programs on machines such as manual or CNC mills, lathes, saws, and drills.
  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
  • Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists as needed
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Requires repetitive frequent lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, pushing and pulling for long hours. Requires carrying items up to 25 feet distance on frequent basis.
  • Requires working in a non-climate controlled work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous CNC and manual machining experience required.
  • Prefer candidate with strong attention to detail, dependability, strong oral communication skills and having the ability to work well with others.
