Summary

The Sustainment Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex operational software systems. These software systems and their sustainment may involve developing or updating analytics, algorithms, scripts, data processing procedures, documentation, security features, metrics collection, reporting functions, or any other aspect of maintaining operations of operational systems. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Investigates and resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment and consistent with CMS' DevOps objectives. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Seeking Sr. Software Devlopers, COBOL Developers, Jr. Full Stack JavaScript Developers, Full Stack React Developers, Archibus COTS, Front End SharePoint Developer, Jr. Python Automation Engineers, Jr. DevOps Engineer, Jr. Full Stack Camunda Developer, and Operational Reliability Engineers.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline. Four (4) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • IBM Sterling / FEB experience Java/javascript
  • Desired experience with containerization
  • Desired experience with NiFi.
  • Desired experience working with the AWS Platform
  • Desired experience working in an Agile Development Team
  • Desired experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Desired experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence and Jira
  • Desired experience with Perceptive Content or any content management or workflow management suite.
  • Tech Stack: Node.js, AngularJS, Angular, Vue.js, MongoDB, JavaScript, Git, No SQL database
  • Active DoD TS//SCI Security Clearance with poly required.

Sustainment Software Engineer, Jr.

  • Three (3) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with a High School Diploma.

Sustainment Software Engineer, Mid

  • Six (6) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Ten (10) years of experience with a High School Diploma.

Sustainment Software Engineer, Sr

  • Twelve (12) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Sixteen (16) years of experience with a High School Diploma.
