Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionAbout the Role The Oak Square YMCA is seeking a passionate and experienced Gymnastics Coach to lead our gymnastics program for young children. The ideal candidate will have a background in gymnastics and experience working with kids, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. You will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, ensuring safety, and promoting skill development in a fun and engaging way.

 Shifts: 
  • Saturday Afternoons: 2:15 pm - 4:45 pm  
  • Monday Evenings: 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm  
 Session Dates: 
  • Early Fall Session: September 9th - October 26th  
  • Late Fall Session: October 28th - December 21st  


Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
  • Instruct and coach children in gymnastics techniques and routines.
  • Develop and execute lesson plans tailored to various skill levels.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the gym area.
 
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseQualifications
  • Previous experience in gymnastics coaching, particularly with young children.
  • Strong understanding of gymnastics skills and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both Saturday afternoons and Monday evenings consistently.
  • Commitment to the full duration of the Early and Late Fall sessions.
