Summary of Position:
Cook and prepare a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the Daily Prep List.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and their priority.
  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, steamers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls grills, fryers, saut burners, convection oven, sinks, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Close the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
  • Check in, date, and put away food orders in the appropriate locations and rotate products properly while doing so.
  • Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to Kitchen Manager.
  • Inform Kitchen Manager immediately of product shortages.
  • Use the recipes provided for preparing all products. Do not rely on the memory of yourself or other employees.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen preparation or cooking.
  • Must be able to work independently while also taking direction from kitchen leads
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, lift and frequently carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
