OUR PAY and BENEFITS:

• $22.28 - $27.29 per hour
• 2nd shift: 2:15pm – 10:45pm, add 10% shift differential

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience: minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience working in Grooving or related machinery in a production environment
• Must be able to read blueprints, have a working knowledge of GD&T, and have experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in the setup and operation of grooving machines, and/or surface grinding machinery
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use a computer (MS Office products, basic proficiency) for producing documents, entering data into systems, setting up appointments, writing up reports about production activity or quality, checking and responding to emails, acknowledging policies and participating in organizational communications and surveys
• Willing and able to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines and complete special projects
• Requires protective safety apparel when on the manufacturing floor and sufficient proficiency in English to be able to read, write and understand English in order to comprehend instructions, safety rules, and production materials
• Must be able to physically work in a variety of positions i.e. standing, sitting, bending, and moving between workstations as well as to stand for extended periods of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setup and operate specialized lathes to manufacture Silicon Carbide products
• Performs accurate installation of parts into fixtures or machining
• Cleans and finishes part process in preparation for the next operation
• Performs required quality checks on products using work instructions, blueprints, or other material
• Performs operations in the proper sequence
• Uses precision measuring equipment to check part specifications, fixturing setup to assure compliance with applicable quality requirements
• Performs minor maintenance activities on assigned machines
• Uses machine and shop math to calculate setups and assure adherence to quality standards
• Supports continuous improvement to achieve quality standard work, lower costs, improve yields and quality
• Works with manufacturing management or engineers in updating or developing machining instructions
