The Catering and Event Staff play an extremely important role in A'BriTin Catering and Hospitality. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, calm in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and have a can-do attitude.

Essential Functions:

Prep Cooks perform various food preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient. Their duties and responsibilities include:

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules
  • Ability to prep with and without direction
  • Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food through safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash, and sanitizing the kitchen
  • Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other assigned leader

Qualifications (Required):

  • Working towards or having a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated on the job.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to be on feet/standing for long periods.
  • Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a can-do attitude.
  • Perform with high integrity.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Kitchen Prep Experience (preferred).

Additional Notes: Able to lift and push 50+ pounds.

Compensation: $18/hour to $25 DOQ

Schedule: Weekly, Evenings & Weekends. Must be open to a flexible work schedule.
