Company Description

For more than 30 years, Giant Resource Recovery (GRR) has provided a safe and secure solution to commercial and industrial hazardous waste disposal problems. We recycle a wide range of liquid, solid, semi-solid, and aerosol wastes by blending them into fuel. The waste-derived fuel is then burned in cement and lightweight aggregate kilns operated by Giant Cement. In addition, our multiple facilities offer alternative waste processing and recycling services for materials not suitable for fuel blending.

Procurement Coordinator Job Description

This position reports to the Administrative Manager. The tasks of this individual will include, but is not limited to:

  • Receipt of quotes from various departments.
  • Creation of Purchase Requisition into SAP system.
  • Request creation of new vendors.
  • Delivery via email/mail of created Purchase Orders.
  • Maintaining excel spreadsheets for various departments.
  • Maintaining monthly accrual report.
  • Answering phone calls and emails daily.
  • Identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Filing and maintaining accounts payable information.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to align policies and ensure compliance.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Good attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow directions and safety rules.
  • Strong and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Associate Degree preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • MUST be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, utilizing Outlook, Word, Excel and Microsoft Teams, or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
  • MUST be detailed oriented, meticulous in tasks, multitask, communicate effectively with co-workers and Management both orally and in written format.
  • Must have good keyboarding skills.
  • Previous experience working in accounts payable is required or equivalent education.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
