Summary:

Seeking highly skilled CNC programmer with experience in milling and turning operations who is looking for a challenging role. Proven ability to translate parts designs ad drawings into CNC programs, optimize machining processes, and ensure quality production runs. Experience with tooling and fixturing design, Fanuc controls, and hands-on machine setup is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze models and drawings and convert them into efficient processes with CNC programs for milling and turning machines.
  • Design and implement tooling and fixturing solutions to ensure accurate and repeatable part production.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines for initial part development and verification, following safety protocols and maintaining program accuracy.
  • Conduct test runs and troubleshoot any program or machine issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed CNC programs and process documentation (setup, in process drawings, etc).
  • Continuously improve machining processes and identify opportunities for throughput and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC programmer, 10+ years experience in machining roles with significant setup experience.
  • Technical degree or apprenticeship/journeyman certs are a plus.
  • Process development experience – should be able to design process and develop parts through first article making chips and preparing for production.
  • Proven experience in milling and turning operations.
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam) and Fanuc controls preferred.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and fixturing design. Solidworks experience a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines.

  • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)

Salary info:

$20 - $40 / hr
