The Role

The Calibrator assures that fuel dispensing units are calibrated correctly to give accurate readings and dispense fuel at the correct rate of measure (volume) according to state Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on fuel dispensing units in accordance with state Weights and Measures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures according to applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations and requirements.
  • Utilize various testing devices, multiple hand and power tools related to the job.  Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail; taking precise measurements
  • Mechanically focused, hydraulic repair of leaks
  • Process oriented. Follow directions precisely and ability to document accurately.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates organization skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have a passion for customer service excellence.
  • Keep supervisor fully informed by verbal, written, and electronic communication.
  • Ability to respond promptly to service calls or emergencies as they arise.
  • Self-motivated, driven with a passion for excellence.

Requirements

  • Will maintain a valid Chauffeur’s Drivers License as well as a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive a full-size company vehicle.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, occasionally lift approximately 50lbs.
