Position – Crate Builder

Job Location – Glendale, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (6:00am – 2:00pm)

Starting Pay – $18 per hour

Job Summary

The crate builder is a skilled craftsman responsible for assembling boxes to precise specifications using advanced techniques and equipment. Under the direction of the Supervisor, this role requires a combination of technical expertise, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Advanced Assembly: Utilize specialized equipment, such as overhead cranes, to assemble complex boxes and structures.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all boxes meet strict quality standards, adhering to blueprints, drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating various hand tools, including air nail guns, staplers, electric drills, and air drills.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and tape measures.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in box building, with a demonstrated ability to handle advanced assembly tasks.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment.
