Randall Construction Holdings is currently seeking a top-tier Payroll Analyst / Specialist (Construction) to work in our Apopka, FL headquarters. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.


Position Summary

The payroll specialist prepares and distributes our company’s payroll, prepares any necessary tax documents, and makes sure that all hours, benefits, and deductions are logged appropriately and that all payroll accounts remain balanced. We utilize the Paylocity system.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews timecards for hourly employees to make sure there are no errors.
  • Ensures that all benefits and insurance premiums are deducted from paychecks.
  • Conducts regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with the company policy and legal requirements.
  • Reconciles payroll related accounts and resolves discrepancies; including but not limited to wages, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
  • Manages and administers the company 401(K) plan ensuring compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations.
  • Prepares Form 5500 and handle plan audits.
  • Prepares and posts payroll journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Tracks vacation and sick hours to ensure that they are accurate on paystubs.
  • Enters employee’s personal information into payroll database.
  • Prepares and submits payroll documents.
  • Responds to inquiries from employees about salaries and wages.
  • Resolves any discrepancies surrounding payroll issues.
  • Distributes W-2s for tax purposes.
  • Prepares year-end payroll reports.
  • Keeps up to date on changes in company tax status.
  • Keeps detailed and organized payroll records.
  • Communicates regularly with HR to ensure that all employee records are correct.

Desired Qualification Requirements

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience in a construction or related field preferred.
  • Two or Four-year College degree (Accounting, Finance or HR focus) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Paylocity knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and reference check.
  • 3-5 years of experience processing payroll.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Strong PC skills, including high proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.

Physical Requirements

This is an office position and, as such, you must be able to sit up to six or more hours in an eight-hour workday, lift light objects such as files and paperwork frequently during the day, and objects weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally during the day. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job.
