Medicaid Manager

Primary Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls from patients, care givers, nursing homes, hospitals, and Medicaid representatives
- Scheduling non-emergency transportation to and from appointments
- Coordinating with hospitals and long-term care facilities to arrange discharges
- Ensuring that clients meet eligibility standards set in place by State Medicaid
- Obtaining referrals and prior authorizations from Medicaid for out of area transportation
- Checking for efficiency in the Medicaid clerks
- Strong communication skills; this position is responsible for coordination between the client, hospitals, dispatch and drivers
- Be able to work under pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Knowledge of Medicaid helpful
- Basic math skills
- Computer literacy – Word, Excel, Office
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pre employment, post-accident, random and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- National background check
