Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead

Department: Employment & Training Services Department (ETSD)

Reports To: Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager

Supervises: None

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Grade: E3

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

General Functions:

The Employment and Training Services Department (ETSD) Quality Assurance Lead will assist in establishing quality standards, training and development through identifying opportunities for implementing process improvement and strategies through bridging training gaps to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of program services. The Quality Assurance Lead will collaborate with interdepartmental stakeholders and support organizational wide initiatives in alignment with Continuous Quality Management (CQM) goals.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Monitors department data systems for performance and outcomes in partnership with department leadership.
  • Expert in the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation requirements, monitoring for updates to notify department staff of changes.
  • Provide training to staff in the areas of data assurances and CARF accreditation.
  • Coordinate department CQM and all on-going required CARF Meetings.
  • Develops training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide training and coaching to Quality Assurance Case File Review Specialists and Financial Assistance Trainers.
  • Monitor audits of file reviewers to ensure compliance with department and CARF standards through conducting regular audit follow ups to evaluate performance and identify issues.
  • Coordinates with leadership to ensure monthly/quarterly/annual trainings are scheduled, completed and documented for all department staff in Relias.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and audits.
  • Assist leadership with ensuring CARF requirements are supported by quality policies and procedures and service delivery.
  • Ensure all data reports related to CARF are reconciled monthly and provided to stakeholders.
  • Provides data tracking services to leadership as needed.
  • Assist leadership in obtaining and maintaining national CARF accreditation.
  • Performs all related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar field, or year for year may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum of two years of program management and/or program monitoring experience.
  • Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory report from a state and federal background check.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with program management, writing quarterly reports, administering funds.
  • Experience working with Alaska Native people, knowledge of their values and belief systems and ability to provide culturally competent services.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily works in an office setting, with extended periods of time at a desk and on a computer.
