POSITION SUMMARY

The Coach Painter position is responsible for ensuring that coaches and/or coach parts are painted with precision and a superior level of quality, meeting both customer expectations and our exacting coach build standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Prepare coach surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure a smooth and even paint application.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve precise and consistent finishes, adhering to customer specifications and brand standards.
  • Apply paint using various techniques to ensure an even coat and smooth finish.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections, ensuring a flawless and durable finish.
  • Perform touch ups on coaches and/or small parts as required.
  • Perform spot spraying as needed.
  • May be required to perform body repair work, buffing and decaling as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Coach Painter or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment (bending, twisting, stretching, kneeling, squatting, push/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, and must be able to wear a respirator and withstand fumes/chemicals).
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, along with the ability to distinguish colors accurately and use hand, air & power tools.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment.
