If you have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Childhood Development, or a related field, along with a commitment to fostering learning environments, we want to hear from you

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Childhood Development, or related field.
- Social Service Worker license or ability to obtain within 1 year (preferred but not required).
- Schedule flexibility outside office hours required.
- Experience with youth ages 3-17 and crisis management is required.
- Organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with community organizations.

Position Purpose:
As a Youth Education Specialist at CAPSA, your primary focus will be on ensuring that advocacy services for youth ages 3-17 are safe and easily accessible through evidence-based educational programming. Your role will involve providing personalized educational support, fostering positive personal skills, and empowering youth to make informed choices for their future.

Key Responsibilities:

Outreach Youth Education:
- Provide organizational expertise to support youth ages 3-17 in educational programs.
- Assess and identify areas of educational risk or needed support, providing referrals and information.
- Develop and maintain evidence-based tools for assessing educational needs.
- Collaborate with Therapists to support skill-building as outlined in treatment plans.

Shelter Youth Education:
- Create individual Child Safety and Life Goals Plans focused on educational growth.
- Work with guardians to determine specific educational needs for each youth.
- Provide support for educational activities during shelter stays.

Support Groups:
- Prepare and provide evidence-based curriculum and activities for youth in CAPSA's educational programs.
- Conduct support groups and engage youth in educational skill-building activities.
