We seek an experienced Traffic Engineering Analyst to contribute to developing cutting-edge traffic design services throughout the Houston area. You will employ established methods, procedures, and standards to execute routine engineering tasks under supervision.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts analyses of traffic and transportation systems, traffic impact studies, and corridor research.
  • Supports professional engineering staff in creating traffic and roadway plans and designs.
  • Utilizes prescribed methods to accomplish specific segments of larger projects.
  • Performs preliminary analyses on various technical assignments.
  • Assesses data to aid in developing solutions for transportation challenges.
  • Carries out additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in civil engineering, planning, or a related discipline.
  • EIT certification or PE
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering roles similar to those outlined above, with special emphasis on Traffic Impact Analysis, corridor mobility and long-term improvement analysis, and signal/electrical design.
  • Proficiency with engineering software, programs, and methodologies relevant to the tasks described.
  • Experience with modeling software such as SYNCHRO, CORSIM, and VISSIM.
  • Proficiency in CADD software, particularly Microstation.
  • Familiarity with transportation manuals and guidelines.
