Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced IT Auditor to join our team and ensure the effectiveness of our organization's IT controls, systems, and processes. As an IT Auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating the adequacy of IT policies, procedures, and infrastructure to safeguard assets, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role will involve assessing IT risks, performing audits, and providing recommendations to enhance the security and efficiency of our IT environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct IT audits and reviews of systems, applications, and IT processes to assess compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls, including access controls, change management, and information security controls.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify IT-related risks and vulnerabilities, and develop audit plans and test procedures based on risk assessment results.
  • Document audit findings, observations, and recommendations in audit reports, and communicate findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business units to remediate identified control deficiencies and track implementation of corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, IT trends, and regulatory changes to ensure audit activities remain current and effective.
  • Participate in special projects and investigations related to IT security incidents, data breaches, or other critical IT issues as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT teams on audit findings, control best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, internal audit teams, and external auditors.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field; Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an IT Auditor, Internal Auditor, or IT Risk Consultant with a focus on IT auditing and controls.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT), and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX, PCI-DSS).
  • Familiarity with audit tools and techniques, data analytics, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components (networks, servers, databases, applications), security technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex IT systems and processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey audit findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
