Busser

Role Description:

Overview: As a Busser, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and readiness of dining areas by clearing and resetting tables, assisting guests as needed, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas of the restaurant. You will play a vital role in providing a pleasant dining experience for our guests by ensuring tables are promptly cleared, sanitized, and prepared for new guests, while also providing assistance and support to other areas of the business as required.

Main Responsibilities:

Clearing and Resetting Tables:

• Efficiently clear tables of used dishes, cups, and utensils, and reset them with clean utensils in preparation for new guests.
• Remove debris and crumbs from tables and chairs, ensuring surfaces are clean and presentable for incoming guests.

Assisting Guests:

• Greet guests with a friendly demeanor, offer assistance with seating arrangements, and provide recommendations or answer questions about the restaurant or food.
• Attend to guest needs promptly, such as refilling drinks, providing extra utensils or condiments, and addressing any special requests or concerns.

Cleaning Common Areas:

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas of the restaurant, including dining rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and service stations.
• Sweep and mop floors, wipe down surfaces, and empty trash bins regularly to ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests and staff.

Supporting Other Areas:

• Assist servers with delivering food and beverages to tables and clearing dishes between courses.
• Assist with setting up and decorating for special events or tour group functions held at the restaurant.

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand, and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work with commercial chemical solutions according to manufacturer’s directions.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain standing throughout an entire shift.
