We have openings for an Industrial Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position would have knowledge in a wide variety of maintenance-related fields to ensure a safe working environment, increase productivity, and ensure accuracy.


Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 230+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years.


Duties:

Personnel Safety

  • Follow safety policies and procedures. This includes wearing proper PPE.

Food Safety

  • Ensure a food safe production environment through following policies and procedures
  • Follow GMPs on all plant premises
  • Follow HACCP plans as well as policies and procedures to meet SQF level 3 compliance
  • Ensure product quality through process improvements and training

Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot, repair and address root cause of machine deficiencies
  • New equipment installs and setup
  • Monitor machine during production
  • Electrical repairs
  • Maintain machinery per specifications
  • Suggest/improve equipment operations
  • Offer equipment knowledge to fellow FFP personnel
  • Challenge decisions by offering alternative ideas
  • Assist in training Machine Operators

Human Resources

  • Demonstrate positive leadership qualities that are aligned with company values and philosophy

Customer Service

  • Help ensure final product orders and specifications are met
Requirements:

Requirements

  • Understanding of electrical including primary and control circuits
  • Pneumatics
  • Ladder logic/Programming
  • Electrical installation
  • Mechanical skills
  • Blueprint reading
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer skills- Excel, Word
  • Tig Welding
  • Experience with Sanitary Design

Schedule

  • 4:00pm - 2:30am Monday - Thursday (Fridays as needed)
