Our agency is growing and we are adding a Speech Therapist to our team.


JOB SUMMARY:  To provide optimal speech, language, communication care to clients.  Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt without difficulty.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with patients, families, and physicians to provide a personalized care experience by assessing individual’s abilities and needs.
  • Initiate and revise care plans to meet patient goals.
  • Maintain records and ensure care provided enhances the lives of our patients and meets state and federal guidelines.
  • Provides evaluations of auditory, communication, developmental, and academic skills for infants, children, and adults with hearing loss or disorders of communication, feeding, or swallowing.
  • Consults with medical, dietary, clinical, educational personnel, families, and other staff, including officers from other agencies as needed to ensure excellence in patient care.
  • Prepares and maintains reports/records on patients.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of training programs/materials for families and professionals.
  • Assists with identified quality improvement initiatives by monitoring records of individuals served in clinical and educational programs.
  • Provides patient care and education according to the patient population served.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduated from an approved Speech Language Pathologist program with a master’s degree or Doctorate of Speech Language Pathology.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, appropriate state licensing required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
  • A current CPR Certification.
  • A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation.
