As a Behavior Technician, you will have the chance to work directly with children on the autism spectrum, implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to help them develop social, communication, and behavioral skills. RISE UP FOR AUTISM is committed to your professional growth We provide comprehensive training to support you in obtaining your Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) certification. To show our appreciation for your hard work and commitment, we offer a RBT incentive program. Upon successful certification, enjoy an hourly wage increase, a $100 gift card, and the potential for additional bonuses based on positive performance reviews at the 6-month and 1-year marks.

Day to day as a Behavior Therapist /Registered Behavior TherapistAs a new Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist at RISE UP FOR AUTISM, you can expect to have a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will primarily involve working directly with children on the autism spectrum to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. You will provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions, collect data on behavior progress, and assist with skill acquisition in areas such as communication, social interactions, and daily living skills. You will collaborate and communicate with a team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to ensure consistency and effectiveness in treatment plans.
Your role will also involve maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. As an essential part of our team, you will be responsible for accurately documenting and reporting on each session's progress. You should have a genuine passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum and a strong desire to make a positive impact in their lives. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial as you will be working directly with children and their families, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with the individuals you support are essential qualities.
While prior experience as a Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist is preferred, we provide comprehensive training and ongoing professional development opportunities to support your growth. Proficiency in using software or tools to collect and analyze data related to behavior progress is a plus. Familiarity with tools such as Catalyst, Theralytics or other similar software will be advantageous in documenting and tracking client progress effectively.
