Summary


The Manager, FP&A will be vital to analyze, influence, and drive improved business performance through root cause variance analysis, KPI driven analytics and trends, benchmarking, and executive level reporting. This is a “working” manager level role with no direct reports.


Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Strategic Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the organization.
  • Provide financial analysis for new product launches, pricing strategies, and market expansion plans.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (including financial and non-financial metrics) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Controller and Accounting team.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to support business needs.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

  • Partner with Operations and the department heads to develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial and operational performance.
  • Track and analyze key SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC:ACV, LTV)
  • Maintain certain KPIs as the source of truth.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Work in conjunction with the Finance team and other business units to obtain information.
  • Utilize visualization tools to best present financial information in a repeatable format.
  • Have expertise in financial modeling, cash flow evaluation, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and ROI, NPV, and IRR analysis.

Preferred Professional Experience:

  • 5+ Years of progressive experience in FP&A or Business Analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience with dashboarding and visualization software.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Occasional irregular work hours.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
  • Extended time viewing a computer monitor.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
