What you will do

Crafting high-quality plastic displays used for showcasing products in retail environments, exhibitions, or other promotional settings. This role involves interpreting design specifications, using specialized tools and machinery to fabricate acrylic components, and assembling finished displays according to client requirements. The Acrylic Display Fabricator must have a meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in acrylic fabrication techniques, and a creative mindset to bring designs to life.

Day to day you will:


  1. Review design specifications, sketches, or conceptual drawings to understand the requirements for acrylic display projects.
  2. Select appropriate materials based on project specifications and client preferences.
  3. Set up and operate machinery and equipment used in fabrication processes, saws, and heat benders.
  4. Cut, shape, and polish acrylic sheets to precise dimensions using specialized tools and techniques.
  5. Apply adhesives, solvent bonding, or mechanical fastening methods to join acrylic components together.
  6. Fabricate additional components such as shelves, brackets, or signage to integrate into the display as needed.
  7. Incorporate lighting elements or other decorative features into displays to enhance visual appeal.
  8. Inspect finished displays for quality and accuracy, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
  9. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure that finished displays meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
Requirements:


  1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in acrylic fabrication or a related field preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Display Fabricator or similar role, with a strong understanding of p[lastics materials and fabrication techniques.
  3. Proficiency in operating machinery and equipment used in plastic fabrication.
  4. Ability to interpret design specifications and translate them into finished products with precision.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  6. Creative problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in the fabrication process.
  7. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and handle acrylic materials.
  9. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to acrylic fabrication processes.
  10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in acrylic fabrication.
