MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERPrimary responsibilities for the special education teacher position include providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring to students grades 7-12, creating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEP), and conducting IEP meetings. Your days will involve providing support and guidance to students, collaborating with colleagues to create inclusive learning environments, and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or higher level of education, and either PA special education certification or the ability to obtain certification.We welcome qualified candidates who are interested in becoming teachers. We also welcome retired teachers who miss being in the classroom
WHAT MATTERS MOSTTo excel as a Special Education Teacher at Buxmont Academy, you'll need strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Adaptability and creativity are key as you tailor learning to meet individual student needs. Proficiency in special education software tools such as IEPWriter is essential for effective lesson planning and student support.
