Schedule: Monday-Friday Day shift

The Mammography Technologist performs screening mammography exams; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures and performs related clinical and administrative duties.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfaction.
  • Operating knowledge of mammographic equipment.
  • Performs all screening mammograms within assigned area.
  • Reviews all necessary documentation to perform procedures.
  • Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for each equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Performs QC as required by the MQSA.
  • Performs related clinical and clerical duties associated with the patient procedure.
  • Assures that the procedures performed are in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Performs warm up calibration procedures necessary to ready the equipment for patient imaging.
  • Contributes to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team work skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced, customer oriented highly professional environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain mutually supportive, productive working relationships with colleagues, staff, and physicians.
  • Proven record of taking direction professionally from other medical personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn on the job.

Educational Requirements:
  • College degree preferred
  • ASRT (RT)(R)(M) and CT State License required
