Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a Title Marketer, you will take charge of all aspects related to the development and implementation of creative, tailored marketing campaigns for non-fiction titles across a variety of Schiffer imprints. This pivotal role reports directly to the Marketing Lead, requiring close collaboration with editors, authors, and sales teams.
- Develop and execute integrated, targeted title marketing plans to create awareness and drive sales
- Manage the creation of the advertising and marketing collateral for assigned titles, including writing copy, press releases, and media kits. Collaborate with designers and deliver assets to vendors.
- Strategize influencer marketing plans, including review copy mailings, virtual author events, and giveaways
- Develop organic and paid promotions across Facebook, Instagram and other outlets
- Plan and execute trade marketing and trade advertising campaigns, including bookseller mailings, placing industry ads, trade shows, and library marketing as needed
- Manage the creation of sales assets, including sell sheets, promotional graphics for accounts, and account-specific requests
- Communicate plans and results internally to sales and editorial teams as well as authors
- Be the key point of contact for assigned authors
- Maintain budget for assigned titles
- Analyze advertising results
- Serve as in-house resource for author publicity questions, help coach authors on best practices to connect with their audience and other media questions as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, in communications or related field preferred
- 2-4 years relevant work experience
- Experience and interest in consumer advertising and analytics, including Meta, Google and others, is essential. Amazon advertising expertise is a plus.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Book publishing experience, including working industry shows and book festivals
- Strong computer skills in MS Office: Word, Excel as well as familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Mailchimp, and Canva
- Basic graphic design skills and ability to create flyers, posters, postcards, and other collateral
