Law firm based in Irvine is currently seeking an experienced Sr Paralegal to join their growing legal team. As a Sr Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting our legal department and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in legal support.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and analyze relevant legal documents and materials
  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings, and ensure their accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings
  • Manage and maintain legal documentation and files, both in physical and electronic form
  • Coordinate with external parties, such as clients, opposing counsel, and vendors, to gather and exchange information
  • Assist in the negotiation and drafting of legal agreements and contracts
  • Provide support in preparing and reviewing corporate governance documents and compliance matters
  • Conduct due diligence and assist in the preparation of transaction documents for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
  • Keep up-to-date on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends that may affect the company and its clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and provide advice on legal matters

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field; additional certifications are a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and practices
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and apply relevant legal precedents
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
