Fractional Controller

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate MHS's fiscal function and performance.
• Participate in the development of the MHS's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
• Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
• Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of MHS.
• Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the CEO as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
• Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
• Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which MHS may enter.
• Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.

Qualifications

• Provide proof of Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Provide proof of current CPA certifications.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States.
• Must pass background and drug screenings.
• Previous experience in one or more of the areas in which the team lead will supervise others.
• Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and applicable technology.
• Knowledge of general business practices including accounting, human resources and customer service.
• Ability to plan effectively, set appropriate priorities, and manage several complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated work ethic, drive, energy, and persistence to achieve goals.
• Ability to maintain stability, dependability, and professionalism when faced with changing and difficult situations.
• Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business policies, procedures, equipment manuals, training materials, and corporate communications.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, ability to use arms and hands, ability to see, talk, and hear.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours is required.
• Travel (including overnight travel) may be required.
