In this role, you will provide professional roadway engineering assistance through Ohio & Michigan. The Mannik & Smith Group is a civil engineering and environmental consulting firm. Positional Duties will include plan and specifications preparation, transportation design and analysis, design and analysis, and site review.
Key Responsibilitties
  • Assisting Senior Engineers and Project Managers in the preparation of transportation design plans for state, commercial, industrial, residential and municipal projects in a 3D
    digital environment
  • Performing and checking various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package.
  • Preparing front-end feasibility, permitting and zoning studies, project development, storm water design, cost estimates and detailed design plans.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • General experience related to roadway design. (Co-op or Internships acceptable.)
  • Experience with MicroStation (OpenRoads, GEOPAK SS4 is not required, but a plus.)
  • Making charts, graphs, or forms to go along with documentation.
  • Prepare & organize documentation for each report.
  • Experience with technical writing.
  • Knowledge of ODOT & MDOT Design Standards.
  • Preparing plans, and specifications.
