Job Purpose:
This position is a key technical resource for all new application development and ongoing support initiatives.
Responsibilities and Associated Duties:
The Senior Application Developer will be responsible for implementing requested features in the company software systems. This includes custom software applications, web applications, database systems, legacy systems, and integration of 3rd party systems. The Application Developer will play an integral role as part of the larger technology team for project and ongoing support delivery.
Key Duties:
- Participate and lead the identification and definition of applications components, interfaces, data modeling, data/information flows and security design.
- Recommends design alternatives, considering benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs; may code very complex or high-risk components.
- Drive continual delivery of improvements to the applications and technology through sound Agile development practices
- Work in a team environment, translating business and technical needs into creative designs.
- Create design artifacts such as user stories, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively convey product workflow architecture and user experiences to stakeholders.
- Provide support and subject matter expertise on business rules and processes to technical lead, test lead and other team members during all phases of projects.
- Provide afterhours support during the deployment of the application on an as needed basis
- Adheres to all organizational and IT policies and processes for software development and project management.

- Delivery of business solutions that exceed or meet the needs of customers.
- Well organized and maintainable codebase and documentation
- Timely release of new features and bug fixes
- Consistently improve on application availability and uptime
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field.
- 6 years of complex (multi-tiered) software development experience including two years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience in database design including both schema-based and schema-less servers
- 5+ years expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as Next JS React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS
- 5+ years of experience with building new APIs and/or integrating with remote vendor APIs (e.g. SOAP, REST XML/JSON APIs, GraphQL, etc.)
- Experience developing and supporting event-driven architectures highly preferred
- Experience with application lifecycle management using tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, SQL Management Studio and GitHub
- Experience developing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with ecommerce Platforms like BigCommerce or Shopify preferred.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics F&O preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Must have relevant experience for consideration
