Services are provided using a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach that focuses on strengthening the parent-child relationships and children's school readiness skills. Most services are provided in family homes or in community settings, which means the candidate will be required to travel to and from home visits. Many of the children served in the program have been hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for a range of conditions, including prematurity, polysubstance exposure, and/ or Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
