Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure that our production and fabrication equipment operates at peak efficiency. We are looking for a candidate with experience in the basic maintenance of equipment and/or vehicles, who is safety-conscious and adept at problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Operate and inspect vehicles, machines, and heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
- Perform maintenance, welding and machining.
- Maintain detailed reports of inspections, evaluations, preventive maintenance procedures, and communicate all pertinent information regarding equipment operation and maintenance to the supervisor daily.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Excellent mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities with a working knowledge of vehicle and material handling equipment repair preferred.
- Must be safety-conscious with a good working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with equipment operators for preventative maintenance and repair purposes.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be physically able to spend most of the day on your feet, including walking, bending, climbing, crawling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience with a good driving record.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- Continued education in industrial maintenance preferred.
- Any combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform the duties of the position will be considered.
