Job DescriptionJob Description

Py Food Concepts in Miami, FL is looking for a Seasonal Cook to join our growing team. This position would be located at our Concession Stand at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. 

This position is seasonal, but can lead to a full time position on the PY Hospitality Team. As this is in Hard Rock Stadium, days of work would follow the arena calendar during events such as; Concerts, Sports Games, etc.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working. Our salary is industry competitive.

Responsibilities

As a Seasonal Cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team during our peak season. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Food Safety: Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients by adhering to inventory rotation and storage guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist with kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Adaptability: Be willing to assist in various kitchen roles as needed during busy times.


Qualifications

  • Culinary Experience: Prior experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required. Culinary school graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Passion for Cooking: A genuine passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in a culinary career.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Team Player: A cooperative and adaptable attitude, willing to work collaboratively with kitchen colleagues.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the seasonal nature of the position.
