As a CNC Setup Machinist (also known as Swiss Lathe Operator, CNC Technician), you'll create complex machined parts, perform operations such as drilling, milling, turning, grinding, and facing. You'll work with part drawings, job layouts, and specifications, operating high-tech machines in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned environment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school education.
  • Setup experience with Swiss lathes.
  • Proficiency in the use of computerized machine controls, weight scales, comparators, microscope, precision measurement instruments, hand tools, and specialized trade tools.
  • Ability to use computers for data entry and document production.
  • Mechanical aptitude and significant mathematical skills.
  • Experience with GD&T, G-Code, M-Code, machine setups for production runs, blueprint reading, quality inspection, and shop math skills.
