The Capital District YMCA's Guilderland Branch is seeking dynamic Part-Time Babysitters & Member Service Representatives. These positions support the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community.

CURRENT VACANCIES:
  • Child Watch Babysitter - Wednesday Evenings
  • Member Service Representative - Mon-Fri 5:15a-11:15a Flexible hours. 4-6 hour shifts. Up to 30 hours per week.
  • Program Insturctor - Flexible part-time hours

BABYSITTER - $15.00 PER HOUR - ENGAGING & MANAGING SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN IN THE CHILD WATCH ROOM.

  • Must be 16 years of age.
  • Prior childcare or babysitting experience required.
  • Current CPR, AED, First Aid and Babysitting Certification required.
  • Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Blood borne Pathogens to be completed within 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - $15.05 PER HOUR - RESPONDS TO MEMBER AND GUEST NEEDS

  • Previous work experience (1-3 years) in customer service, sales or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid.

  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR - $15.05 PER HOUR - PLANS AND IMPLEMENTS PROGRAMS

  • HS Diploma/ GED.
  • College level study in a physical education, health education or recreational program preferred.
  • Previous experience in coordinating a similar recreational program.
  • Appropriate professional certifications.

  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of
    the community.
