Position: Ridge Kids Director
Position Type: Part-Time leadership position up to 25 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours based upon demand.
Purpose: This leadership position oversees all aspects of our Ridge Kids operations. Responsibilities include ensuring child safety and security, providing excellent customer service, managing employee staffing, training, supervision, and evaluation, organizing summer camp programs, and coordinating birthday parties.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Some post-secondary education preferred
- CPR certification, including AED and infant, or higher. May obtain within the first 90 days of employment(Ridge offers these services).
- Three years of child management, preferably in a child care center or school setting.
- At least one year of management experience with the ability to develop childrens programs/events to meet budgetary goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Able to prioritize, organize and follow through with projects.
- Enthusiasm for providing exceptional service to parents and children.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Google applications.
- Team-player, energetic, self-starter, detail oriented and highly motivated.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Hands on and team oriented environment.
- Fast paced with a high level of noise at times.
- Will be outside at times for activities or Camps.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute consistent personal leadership in serving Ridge Athletic Clubs children, members, and team mates in a friendly and professional manner.
- Create programs that align with the Ridge mission and members requests.
- Stay up to date with age appropriate child development for ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Consistently follow up with accident reports, new members program attendees as needed.
- Manage behavioral issues that occur in Ridge Kids.
- Adhere and enforce all club guidelines, and the Ridge mission statement
- Create and/or adopt new guidelines or programs to better service the members and Ridge Kids operations, include cost estimates for future program needs.
- Assist in promoting and supporting all club special events, camps, birthday parties, and other internal programs, as well as participating in the promotion of other intra-departmental events.
- Take full responsibility for the quality of the Ridge Kids staff. This would include training and development as well as evaluation of staff in a continuous and ongoing process.
- Work a minimum of 15 hours in RidgeKids and cover open shifts when needed.
- Active and involved in the daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as deemed necessary by the Operations Director.
- Hold quarterly Ridge Kids staff meetings which are to be jointly presented with the Operations Director.
Administrative:
Payroll
- On a bi-monthly basis, go over all Ridge Kids staff time sheets and ensure that they are correct.
- Keep payroll expenses within budget.
- Show conscientious scheduling and staffing efforts.
- Strives to meet projections consistently.
- Maintain accurate daily work.
- Maintain minimum discrepancies of short/over dollars.
- Maintain systematic, check-in/out procedures that ensure safety of the children and Staff.
- Prepare and maintain administrative and records of Ridge Kids and Kids Programs as well ensure all fee payments are recorded.
- Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and well-run Ridge Kids Department.
- Ensure all toys are washed, and sanitized on a regular schedule, and presented well.
- Maintain good quality equipment.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are done correctly by Ridge Kids staff.
- Management reserves the right to revise the functions and duties of the job or to require that additional or different tasks be performed when circumstances change.
- Ridge Kids Director will report to the Operations Director.
- Complimentary membership at both Ridge locations. After 6 months of employment you may upgrade to a couple or family membership.

- Bring up to 2 of your children aged 6 weeks to 12 years to work with you.
- Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience
- Hours: Part-time plus, Monday Sunday, as necessary
