Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDSG is seeking an Electrical Project Manager in our Fargo, ND location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for confirming product orders and coordinating with customers on deliveries, as well as working with customers to resolve missing or damaged product issues after delivery.

A Typical Day in the Life of an Electrical Project Manager at DSG:

  • Assist our quotations team with project estimates and compile into accurate bid proposals
  • Oversee and manage project from bid through completion
  • Monitor material purchasing and scheduling as needed for projects
  • Serve as a primary facilitator in the customer ordering process
  • Provide trouble shooting and product application assistance to customers
  • Work with other team members to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

A Successful Electrical Project Manager Typically Has:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of electrical products.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
  • A knack for active listening to determine customer needs and maintain strong relationships.
  • Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
  • The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
  • A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
  • An ability to interpret civil blueprints, plans, and drawings and perform takeoffs
