Job DescriptionJob Description

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking an individual that will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions as well as providing accounting support for agency staff. Strong accounting, analytical and critical thinking skills are essential. This individual is expected to provide technical accounting guidance, solve complex accounting issues, have a strong work ethic, and be dedicated to consistently producing high-quality work. The Senior Accountant will manage and review grant and reimbursement contracts, expenditures, and billings, as well as supervise the non-BH Billing team. This position will also assist in the month-end closing process, preparation of financial statements and all audits. Responsible for working independently as well as part of a team and prioritizing work assignments in order to meet deadlines.

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:

This position requires an associate’s degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Current working experience in accounting/billing software and good spreadsheet skills required. Knowledge of composition, grammar, and punctuation preferred as is knowledge of word processing. The ability to multi-task and perform in deadline situations and to exercise independent judgment to accomplish tasks and to problem solve is essential. Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
