Middleton Place is America’s Oldest Landscaped Gardens and home to a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Located along the Ashley River in Charleston, Middleton Place is a National Historic Landmark, Historic Home, Research Center, and Historic Plantation and Stableyards.

Position Summary-We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team at Middleton Place Restaurant. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and ready for use.

Reports to: Kitchen Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Qualifications

· Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

· Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and attention to detail.

· Team Player: Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.

· Time Management: Efficient in completing tasks within set timeframes

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

· Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

· Wash Dishes: Efficiently clean plates, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans

· Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure all dishes and kitchenware are sanitized and free from food residue. Follow all hygiene and safety protocols.

· Organize: Properly sort and store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.

· Assist in Kitchen: Support kitchen staff by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, including countertops, stoves, and ovens.

· Dispose of Waste: Manage waste and recyclables by following proper disposal procedures.

· Inventory Management: Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and dishwashing detergents. Replenish as needed.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely service.

· Adherence to Policies: Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
